Wynton Pennington

Wynton Bishara Pennington is the Worship Leader and musician at Faith Bible Church.  Wynton graduated from Covington High School where he excelled in the Talented Music Program and the Covington High Marching Band, playing the trumpet.  Wynton also attended Alcorn State University in Lorman, Mississippi where he majored in music and participated in the Alcorn State Marching Band and the Alcorn Gospel Choir, as their keyboardist, of which his mother and uncle were the founders.

Growing up in a musical Christian home provided many opportunities to serve in the music ministry for church.  At age 10, Wynton began accompanying his mother, a music teacher and church musician, as the drummer each Sunday morning during regular service at two churches.  He also participated in and was a soloist in the church’s youth choir.  Wynton participated in the La-ACDA All-State Youth Honor Choir from 5th grade through 9th Grade.

Being grateful for his musical gifts and his love for gospel and contemporary Christian music, led Wynton to dedicate his talents for the Honor and Glory of God. He is currently the praise and worship leader for Faith Bible Church in Covington, Louisiana and Slidell, Louisiana.

Wynton has been a part of Soul Revival since 2014 and truly enjoys every type of music. One of his favorite sayings is, “without music, life would be a mistake”. Music has been his passion and love, and he loves to share it with other people.

Wynton is the proud father of three young daughters, Jaylah, Jordyn, and Wyntor, who are also demonstrating their father’s love and joy for the music talents they have been blessed with.

Wil Allen

Wilhelm Josef Allen was born and raised in Belzoni, Mississippi. He matriculated to Louisiana when his parents moved to Harvey, LA. At an early age, Wil heard his mother and grandfather sing and this sparked his interest in music. He began singing and playing music at this time and he pointed his focus to his school choir as well as church choir.

In 1992 Wil began playing keys for the Greater Macedonia Church. Although keys were his main instrument, he desired to play bass but had no clue on how to begin. Later in life, Wil sought out lessons from New Orleans Bass player Roland Guerrin and his skills took off from there. Wil is currently the Worship Leader at Community Church in Covington, LA. As a young and driven player in New Orleans Wil has written several projects and is currently working on a Bass project. Wil comes from a family of singers and musicians. The legendary “Queen of the Blues” Denise Lasalle is his great-aunt and he also has cousins that sang with the Rev. James Cleveland. Wil joined forces with Soul Revival in 2019 and has brought the funk on the bass. Wil is married to Pamela and they have four beautiful children- Cheris, Devin, Wil Jr., and Preston.
